About Abokof BR Syrup

AMMONIUM CHLORIDE+BROMHEXINE+MENTHOL+TERBUTALINE belongs to a class of respiratory medications called 'expectorant' primarily used to treat cough. Coughing (dry or productive) is a body's way of clearing irritants (like allergens, mucus or smoke) from airways. There are two types of coughs, namely: Dry cough and chesty cough. A dry cough is tickly and doesn't produce any thick mucus, while a chesty cough (wet cough) produces mucous or sputum that helps clear the airways.

AMMONIUM CHLORIDE+BROMHEXINE+MENTHOL+TERBUTALINE consists of four medicines, namely: Bromohexine (mucolytic), Terbutaline (bronchodilator), Ammonium chloride (irritant/expectorant) and Menthol (cooling agent). Bromhexine makes sputum less viscous and makes it easier to cough out. Terbutaline works by dilating (expands) and relaxing the air passages in the lungs, making breathing easier, especially in people with airways problems or respiratory obstructive disorders. Ammonium chloride is an expectorant that decreases airway secretion's stickiness and helps in their removal from the airways. Menthol is an organic compound that produces a cooling sensation and relieves throat irritation.
